Welcome!
Our main focus is to explore and understand the basic mechanisms underlying neuronal function, from molecular interactions to nervous system communication. We focus on the development and integration of microtechnologies to overcome limitations with present techniques.
The Lab
Our laboratory - located in the Biomedical Science Tower 3 at the University of Pittsburgh - is setup to faciliate rapid development and fabrication of microdevices. Dedicated rooms for production and cell-culture are maintained. More details can be found by following the technology link on the left side of the page.
The Members
The group, lead by Dr. Henry Zeringue, consists of three graduate and four undergraduate Bioengineering students, with backgrounds ranging from mechanical to electrical engineering. Contact information can be found by following the Members link on the left side of the page.
Collaboration
We collaborate with multiple groups in the Department of Bioengineering, as well as groups working in Neurobiology and Neuroscience.
